The Tree of Hope & Gratitude is returning to Toowong Village, giving our community another opportunity to share messages of hope, strength and gratitude in support of patients and families at The Wesley Hospital Choices Cancer Support Centre.
Last year, our community made a meaningful difference...
In 2025, the Tree of Hope & Gratitude bloomed with thousands of heartfelt messages from our community. Together, these messages helped Toowong Village donate $5,000 to Wesley Choices, while sharing hope and encouragement with people affected by cancer.
This year, we’re inviting our community to help the tree bloom once again - with even more ways to show your support.
Three ways to make a difference
1. Leave a message
Write a message of hope or gratitude on one of the postcards provided, then use a peg to add it to a ribbon beneath the tree.
For every message added, Toowong Village will donate $5 to Wesley Choices, up to a total donation of $5,000.*
Your message will be delivered to Wesley Choices, offering encouragement and support to people affected by cancer.
2. Tap to donate
Want to make an additional contribution?
Simply use the "Tap to Donate" machine located beside the tree to make a $5 donation directly to Wesley Choices. Just tap your card or device to donate - every contribution makes a difference.
3. Take home a Hope Bear
Meet Hope Bear, a special plush keepsake created in support of Wesley Choices.
Hope Bear is available to purchase for $20, with profits from every bear sold donated to Wesley Choices. Take one home as a reminder of the power of hope, or gift one to someone special.
Hope Bear can be purchased from Centre Management Office located on Level 1, down the corridor near the bathrooms. Open Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (excluding public holidays).

About Wesley Choices
The Wesley Hospital Choices Cancer Support Centre is a not-for-profit service providing practical, emotional and wellbeing support to people affected by cancer, regardless of where they are receiving treatment.
Choices offers patients and their families a calm, caring and supportive environment as they navigate the emotional challenges and decisions that can follow a cancer diagnosis.
The centre welcomes people of all ages and genders living with any type of cancer.
