Snap your Toowong
Calling all budding photographers!
What makes Toowong unique to you? Show us through your lens & you could WIN up to $2,000!
Submit a unique original photo of Toowong that captures everyday life from people, food, and buildings, to natural landscapes.
Each photo will be judged to become a finalist based on overall impact, originality, technique and creativity.
The top 100 finalist photos will be displayed at Toowong Village and voted on by the public to choose our winner.

Entry is free. You may submit up to 3 original photos.

PHOTO CRITERIA
The top 100 finalist photos will be chosen by our panel of judges, including our local Councillor Penny Wolff.
Photos will be judged on:
- Overall Impact: The Entry evokes a sense of the diversity of Toowong and is inspirational.
- Originality: The Entry offers a unique perspective and/or a rarely captured moment.
- Technique: Considers the Entrant’s use of composition, lighting, framing, perspective, use of colour.
- Creativity: Considers the Entrant’s creativity of the captured image.
VOTING
Winners will be chosen by our community!
The public will be able to view your photos at The Village to vote for their favourite. They will be displayed on Level 1, outside Library for a period of 4 weeks.
Voters will go in the draw to win a $100 Toowong Village Gift Card.
PRIZES
The photograph with the highest number of public votes will be deemed 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
- 1st: $2,000 Visa Gift Card
- 2nd: $800 Visa Gift Card
- 3rd: $300 Visa Gift Card
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Entrants must be amateur photographers: being any person other than a person who obtains remuneration in exchange for providing photographic works.
- Photo must be an original and entrants must own the copyrights of the photograph uploaded.
- Photograph must feature Toowong or and aspect of Toowong.
- Photography must be taken during the entry period or within the last 12 months.
- You can submit up to 3 photos.
- You give Toowong Village the right to reproduce, publish, display and use the entries in relation to the exhibition during the exhibition period, and any future marketing, advertising, or non-commercial use in relation to the promotion. Toowong Village agrees to attribute the appropriate entrant for their work when reproducing, publishing, displayed or otherwise using that entrants entry.
